Virtual Lifeline (Patented)
Safety Issue: Falls into the water. There were 794 falls overboard resulting in 293 fatalities reported in 2005 (USCG 2005 statistics) Falls overboard events lead to drowning, propeller injury, collisions, capsizing and property damage. Consider the number of unreported falls overboard events and you can conclude that this type of accident happens all too often.
Defense: As the only wireless engine shut-off device on the market today Virtual Lifeline XL helps prevent injuries and fatalities associated with this hazard. With Virtual Lifeline XL installed, the operator and all passengers onboard can are equally protected when everyone wears a sensor.
How it works: Upon submersion, the sensor immediately activates—sending a signal to the onboard control module, which sounds an alarm and shuts off the motor. XL’s Rescue Mode allows restarting of the engine to recover the person in the water. Once out of the water, simply shake excess water from the sensor, restart the motor and turn off Rescue Mode to reactivate the safety features of VL-XL. Sensors are small, durable, reusable and are easily worn.
Installation & Use: Virtual Lifeline is quick and easy to install…and a snap to use! If someone should go into the water, VL’s lighted rocker switches make operation clear and simple. Our customers not only have enough sensors for everybody, but also consider it essential gear for pets and valuables.
Recommended Use: Any motorized craft.
Want alarm only?…Virtual Lifeline can be easily customizable for your Alarm Only application!
